Frank's POV. When Gerard and I came home from work, there was a visitor in our apartment.

When Gerard and I came home from work, there was a visitor in our apartment.

"Mom!" Gerard exclaimed. "What're you doing back here so soon? I would've thought you'd have had enough of us after last week," I pointed out.

"I read the newspaper. I'm gonna be here for you all after what happened. Especially Mikey. Oh and Frank, your Mom called. I spoke to her for a while. She wanted to know how you were and I told her you'd call her back. And then we got to talking. Apparently she never comes here to visit you Frank, because you don't let her. So I told her that she should come here. She's arriving tomorrow, right before Erica's funeral on Wednesday."

Gerard and I had talked about the funeral. The media were all gonna be there and we'd decided to not wear our costumes to the event out of respect for Erica. We didn't want to turn everything to be about us. As for the situation with my mother, dear god, help me.

"Um ok," I replied to Gerard's mother politely.

The afternoon dragged on and Gerard's Mom sat there trying to get us to keep busy and clean up our shit, using those exact words. A little while later, someone buzzed our apartment.

"Who is it?" I asked through the intercom.

"Mimi," came a small voice. I let her up and let her into the apartment. she had brought a whole tonne of stuff.

"I brought you all some flowers and a sympathy card for Erica," she said. "And I didn't know if any of you would be up to cooking dinner, so I made you all vegetarian lasagna to eat," Mimi said.

"Oh are you wonderful. I don't believe we've met. What's your name?" Gerard's Mom asked.

"I'm Mimi," she spoke, handing me the lasagna which I took off to the kitchen. Only a second later I returned to see Mimi and Gerard's Mom in full conversation. Mikey had come out to see who was at the door. His eyes showed no emotion as he stood watching Mimi and his mother converse. I decided to walk up to him and wrap my arms around his shoulders.

"That's Mimi. She works with Gerard and I. She was one of Erica's friends. She came to give us some flowers and food," I told him. He nodded.

"How're you holding up?" I asked him.

"Shit."

"That's understandable I guess. At least your Mom's not making you clean like she is with Gerard and I. I swear, I didn't know tables had to be polished. I tended to just brush the crumbs onto the floor and vacuumed them with the vacuum cleaner. But the table's nice and shiny now. We can see whether our eyeliner has smudged while we eat our dinner now, because the reflection is that clear," I told Mikey who cracked his first smile since all the shit happened.

"Do you think that next time you and Gerard.... you know... you could keep your voices down? Last night was disturbing," Mikey told me, making me giggle.

"Sorry. At least it distracted you though," I pointed out. Mikey pulled a face at me.

"Wrong sort of distraction," he told me.

"And what's your view on a good distraction?" I asked him.

"Playboy," he said, smirking. I giggled once more.

"Come and meet Mimi," I suggested.

I led Mikey over to Mimi and his Mom, who both looked at him.

"Oh, are you feeling better?" his Mom asked.

"No. But I'm over sitting there and just going over everything in my head," he decided. "Plus I heard someone knock at the door and I smelled food, so I came to see who it was," Mikey said.

"Hi. I'm Mimi," Mimi spoke, offering her hand to Mikey. He took it and shook it.

"I'm Mikey. Thanks for bringing over the food and flowers," he said.

"It was no trouble. I'm really sorry about what happened. Erica was a great person. I cried so much when I heard what happened. If you ever need anything, just get Frank to give you my number and you can give me a call and I'll help out," she offered.

"Thanks," Mikey said, putting his head down. I could tell he was trying not to cry again.

"How about you stay for dinner with us. It's the least you can do after you spent all the time making it for us," Gerard and Mikey's Mom spoke. If I didn't know any better, I would've said that Mrs. Way was trying to set Mikey up with Mimi. But surely that wouldn't happen. Mikey was grieving the loss of his woman. He didn't want anyone at the moment except Erica, who was never coming home.
