Gerard's POV. Today, to put it bluntly, was shitToday, to put it bluntly, was shit. Frank had locked himself in his office and so I just decided to help people out on the floor. It was almost like the old days, when he would be an asshole to me and wouldn't speak to me, and if he did, it would be to yell at me. Although thankfully today, he didn't yell at me. He just ignored me. So by the time I came home and got my superhero gear on, I felt like crap and Frank hadn't returned home yet. Maybe he was avoiding me. "So can I come with you to fight bad guys today?" Mikey asked. "If you want. I'm gonna need some sort of back up cause Frank's been avoiding me all day," I told him. "Well you did the right thing last night by walking away from him. He'll come around. You'll see. He loves you a whole shitload, Gee. Anyone can see that. And soon enough he'll realize that you'll both be apart for all of next week, so you might as well enjoy one another's company now while you can," Mikey said. "Yeah, if he even comes home tonight," I said to him. "He will. He's probably feeling bad about the stuff he said last night," Mikey said. "Ooh, Erica made me a costume. I'll go change into it," he said, as I heard the front door open. Immediately I went invisible, hoping it would be Frank. I hadn't caught much of a glimpse of him today because he'd always been holed up in his office. I wanted to see if he was ok, but I didn't want to scare him off by being visible to him. "Yeah Mom, I know," I heard him speak. He was on his cellphone. I hovered into the living room where I saw him sitting on the couch. "Yeah, ok. I'll do that. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Love you Mom, bye," he spoke, hanging up. Then, he sat back on the couch, twiddling his thumbs. "Is that you Frank?" I heard Mikey call out. "Yeah," he replied back. "Are you going superheroing?" Mikey asked him. Frank paused and looked like he was trying to think of something to say. "I don't think Gerard would want me going after what I said last night. I'll just stay here," Frank said. "And let him get bashed up?" Mikey asked, walking into the room in a green, topless number. He looked like fucking Tarzan. It was just a tiny, green skirt-like thing which was slung around his waist. On his feet, he wore massive leather boots with big, silver, metal spikes. His mask was a modified teddy-bear head. The ears and fur covered the top and the back of his head. However it had been altered at the front to allow his eyes and mouth to be shown for all his toffee-healing. God, he looked ridiculous. "Oh my god," Frank said, laughing. "Hey, shut up! It's exactly the costume I wanted. Erica thinks it looks hot. It shows off my muscles she gave me," Mikey defended himself. "Well since you're dressed as Hot Boy, why don't you go with Gerard and fight crime," Frank suggested. "Maybe I will," Mikey replied. "Hey, Gerard, hurry the fuck up wherever you are!" Mikey called out. I decided to give Mikey the biggest scare of his life. I hovered over behind him and made myself visible. "Boo," I said to him. "Holy fuck! GERARD!" he screamed at me. I chuckled. "Come on dipshit. Time to save old lady's cats from being stuck in trees," I said to him. "Can I hop on your back so we can be invisible?" Mikey asked. "Ok. Just don't fucking spike me with your evil-looking boots," I warned him. "You sure you don't want to come?" I asked Frank, who looked at me, shocked that I was speaking to him. He shyly nodded. "Ok. Come on Toffee-Breath," I said to my brother who scolded and grumbled as he jumped on my back. I flew us out of our apartment and up into the air. "So how do we go about saving cats and shit?" Mikey asked me. It was going to be a long night.
