Wild animals such as chimpanzees, parrots and even pythons are wonderful to watch and have interesting personalities – but should people keep them as pets? In my opinion, it is completely wrong to keep wild animals as pets.

1 ……………….The Humane Society of the United states strongly opposes keeping wild animals as pets. The majority of people who keep these animals are unable to provide the care they require.

2 …………… Animals live in a small house or flat cannot get the exercise they need. It is also difficult to feed them with the same food that they eat in the wild. Also, many wild animals are dangerous. They often grow to be larger, stronger, and more dangerous than their owners expect or can imagine. Small cats as ocelotsand bobcats can be as deadly to children as lions and tigers. Wild animals also take a danger to human health and safety through disease and parasite.

3 ……………….. They look after their animals, and give them love and protection. However, wild animals don’t want our love and protection – they need their freedom. When wild-caught animals are kept as pets, their sufferingmay begin with capture – every year millions of birds and reptiles suffer and die on the journey to the pet store. Even after purchase, their lives are likely to be filled with misery.They need to live a natural life in their natural habitat, and they need open spaces where they can move freely.

All in all, I believe that wild animals should not be kept as pets, because every animal has the right to live freely in its natural environment.
