Engine failure may be caused by hydraulic or electrical problems, birdstrike, engine on fire, fuel problems, low oil pressure, icing, ingestion of debris, or pilot error.

In the event of engine failure, REMEMBER: · A 'Acknowledge' - S 'Separate' - S 'Silence' - (See the ASSIST panel on the bottom left for further information.) · INFORM TWR at landing aerodrome · Clear RWY according to local instructions · Keep safety strip clear · Offer pilot extended final · Check that towing equipment is on standby · In case of diversionary or forced landing, record last known position and time for search and rescue purposes
