Letter of Resignation

A letter of resignation should be firm and businesslike whatever the cause of your quitting. State your determination to leave and briefly outline reasons. Acknowledge those who were helpful to you and express appreciation for the job. The reader may be called upon to recommend you when you apply for a new position.
