"God that makes me feel better," I said to my boyfriend that night after we'd fought crime. He'd given me a big hug which relieved all the stress I had after my blasting from Frank today.
"Work sucked that bad today, huh?!" he said.
"Yeah. I swear my luck is against me," I replied.
"I'm sure it isn't. I on the other hand have the worst luck ever. And I seem to just keep on creating it.There's this guy at work who I know I'm gonna have to fire one day, but thinking about what you said, how if you didn't have a job you'd be homeless is making me keep the guy on. I keep holding off on firing him. He's a good worker, he's just so damn impossible," The Skeleton explained. I gave him a hug.
"You should see me at work. You'll never want to fire the guy you're talking about when you see how bad I am. My super powers keep getting me in trouble," I informed him.
"Why? Do you hang out in the mens bathroom while being all invisible?" he joked, making me chuckle.
"No. But I should try that sometime," I decided, making him nudge me. We were currently hanging out on the roof of a DVD rental store and The Skeleton was having fun by spitting on everyone's heads below who were walking into the store.
"You know, I would love for you to give me your cellphone number. If you're ever upset at work, you can give me a call and I'll help you calm down," he suggested to me.
"Really?" I asked.
"Sure. It will make me feel a whole lot better knowing that you are happy at work," he replied.
"Ok," I said excitedly. We exchanged cellphone numbers and then The Skeleton moved so that he was sitting on my lap.
"So, do you talk to your brother much about your work situation?" he asked.
"Yeah. He helps sometimes. I guess we can relate. We both hate our day jobs," I explained. He nodded as though he understood. There was something weird about him this week. He'd kept bringing up my brother. Why was he doing that? Was he trying to gather information about him so he could find him and then find out who I was and what a loser I was? Maybe he was just being nice.
"Well you know I wish I had a sibling to relate to sometimes. I guess my friends aren't really much of a help. They just get me drunk," he replied, making me chuckle.
We sat there and talked some more. Mostly about TV shows and music. We had a lot in common in those departments. I asked him if he had anything tattooed on his ass. He replied with, 'You'll just have to wait and see'.
A while later, we both got caught up in the moment. We were fiercely making out and touching places that were easily excitable. It felt so damn good to be touched down there. No one had touched me like The Skeleton was for years.
It was when we heard a chopper that we panicked a little. They were taking pictures of us. The Skeleton told me to make us invisible so I did. I flew us to the only place I knew we wouldn't get caught. My brother had gone out on a date tonight. After all, it was a Friday night. I told The Skeleton to wait outside for a couple of minutes until I removed any photographs or anything which would reveal my secret identity to him. Then I would invite him in for a coffee and nothing more.
